  • The Hipster Mecca & Design Hub

Lawrenceville has rapidly become one of Pittsburgh's trendiest neighborhoods, characterized by a lively stretch of Butler Street lined with refurbished industrial buildings and turn-of-the-century rowhouses.

The largest recess cave in Ohio. It's an easy, short, paved walk, making it very family-friendly and accessible.

    • Highlight: "An easy, half-mile, ADA-friendly walk to the largest recess cave in the state."

    • The Experience: Ash Cave is a massive, concave rock shelter at the southern end of the park. It is a stunning sight, measuring over 700 feet from rim to rim, with the ceiling soaring 90 feet high. A seasonal waterfall cascades over the rim into a small pool below.

    • The Accessibility: The Gorge Trail leading into the cave is a short, paved, and wheelchair/stroller-accessible path, making it the most family-friendly hike in the entire park.

    • The History: The cave floor once contained large piles of ash from Native American campfires, giving the cave its name.
