    Mount Washington is defined by its dramatic bluff overlooking the city, offering the most iconic panoramic views of the Downtown skyline, the Point State Park fountain, and the three rivers (Allegheny, Monongahela, and Ohio).

    The only true cave in the park (a tunnel-like formation).

    • Highlight: "Explore the only true cave in Hocking Hills, located midway up a 150-foot cliff."

    • The Geology: Unlike the recess caves (like Ash Cave and Old Man's Cave), Rock House is the park's only true tunnel-like cave. It's a corridor situated halfway up a cliff face, measuring 200 feet long, 20 to 30 feet wide, and 25 feet high.

    • The Features: The cave features seven Gothic-arched "windows" carved naturally into the sandstone walls, letting in light and offering views of the outside. Inside, look for small recesses called "hominy holes," believed to have been used as baking ovens by Native Americans.

    • The Hike: The approach involves climbing steps carved into the cliffside.
